Vanguard Artists, founded in 1977, is a premier group of professional artists who meet at 1:00pm on the first Friday of the Month (except summers) at the Sun City West Foundation in Sun City West, Arizona. Its major focus is to provide a forum for the critiquing of art work produced by each artist. This analysis of painting results in generating better quality work. Vanguard Artists, with its quest for excellence, enriches the community through networking, education and ultimately, finer art.

Welcome to the newly-created blog for the Vanguard Artists. The purpose of the blog is to provide information to and about member artists and allow a forum for those interested in our art.
This photo was taken at a recent meeting and critique session. Our President, Ann, is being ably assisted by Woodie in setting up a painting for critique. We learn a great deal from having our paintings critiqued and it keeps us humble!
