Kandyce Olson sent me the following note on a beautiful card with one of her painting prints on the front. I will share her message, but I am keeping the card!
My apologies to Kandyce for not posting this sooner, but I was out of town and the card was waiting in our "hold mail" on our return.
Dear Vanguard,
I am very honored and encouraged to be named Artist of the Year by the Vanguard group.
I want to thank you for the recognition; and the acknowledgment inspires me to keep learning and improving. I appreciate the critiques that we can receive from Vanguard, and I plan to dedicate more time and intention to my work. Again, thank you for this honor.

Vanguard Artists, founded in 1977, is a premier group of professional artists who meet at 1:00pm on the first Friday of the Month (except summers) at the Sun City West Foundation in Sun City West, Arizona.
