Vanguard Artists, founded in 1977, is a premier group of professional artists who meet at 1:00pm on the first Friday of the Month (except summers) at the Sun City West Foundation in Sun City West, Arizona. Its major focus is to provide a forum for the critiquing of art work produced by each artist. This analysis of painting results in generating better quality work. Vanguard Artists, with its quest for excellence, enriches the community through networking, education and ultimately, finer art.
I know that Mary Schubert(2nd Place in Mixed Media),Regina Cirillo and Gisela Spence (1st Place in Dry Media)also won ribbons from the show.
